ANDY'S ANSWER: Part of going through puberty is the avalanche of emotions that are caused by changing hormones. Being easily embarrassed seems to come with the territory. The only thing I can tell you, is it's far better for you to make a joke when you are embarrassed, than it is to get upset. If you can get past an embarrassing situation by making fun of yourself, people are much more likely to forget about the incident. For example, a friend of mine came out of the bathroom with her skirt tucked into her underwear. She was mortified when it was pointed out to her in a group of friends and probably just wanted to sink into the floor, but instead as she pulled her dress back out, she casually commented "What's the point of getting new underwear if you can't show it off?" Everyone laughed and there was no more said about it. I don't know of anyway from stopping yourself from being embarrassed, but it's a good idea to be able to do damage control by learning how to laugh at yourself.
